Jameson Whiskey Speed of Light

The Brief

Our good friends at Jameson Whiskey were looking to provide a ‘gaming’ element to a brand experience that would promote their upcoming Jameson Caskmate SKUs: Jameson Stout and Jameson IPA for their stand at BrewLDN Festival. The brief was simple. Consumers would be assigned to either Team Stout or Team IPA and go head to head in a 1 v 1 game and winners placed onto a scoreboard to keep track of each team’s progression. The game needed to be eye-catching, quick and a focal point to draw consumers to the stand.

The Perfect Pick

There really was no other choice than our ‘Speed of Light’ which stands an impressive 8ft tall and is arguably one of our most competitive games. This quick-fire game always draws a crowd and has players battling head to head to test their reflexes to the max. The aim of the game is simple: Hit the buttons as quickly as they light up and be the winner…!

Getting Creative

Due to our long-standing relationship with Pernod Ricard and understanding of the company's brand guidelines, our creative studio was given free reign on the design elements. We needed to create a ‘split’ design, where half would be branded Jameson Stout (Black/Cream) and the other in Jameson IPA (Green), it was key that each design included brand icons for each product.

Drawing inspiration from E-Sports, we designed individual Logos giving each Team their own identity. This helped to reinforce the brief requiring us to create a fun and competitive experience that placed to two brands in head to head battle, allowing the consumer to choose: "Are you Team Stout or are you Team IPA?"

 

            

To keep track of team scores, we provided each brand their own individual pack of bespoke scorecards. This simple mechanism allowed Brand Ambassadors to quickly tally up which team had most places on the leaderboard, who was in the top spots and which team held all the bragging rights. 

Game On!

The Speed of Light project was all about interaction, competition and having fun together. Not only did our work deliver strong branding cues but it also delivered the softer ‘look and feel’ elements that contributed to the overall vibe and experience of the event. As a brand production partner, we were able to bring an idea to life to gain maximum impact and awareness with the branded assets now stored at our warehouse ready for the next campaign. Game On!
